Changes at Bel Groupe

Date: 11.05.2021Source: Le Figaro

At the instigation of CEO, Antoine Fiévet, the Bel Group will move to a form of corporate governance that separates the roles of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Fiévet intends to recommend to the company’s board of directors during 2022 the appointment of Cécile Béliot, the group’s current deputy chief executive officer, as chief executive officer of Bel.

During a transition period, Béliot will be responsible for preparing the merger of the Bel MOM teams and the continued implementation of the group’s dairy, vegetable and fruit-based strategy.

Bel’s board of directors has voted in favour of the change. This governance model, which Bel says has proven its worth in many groups, is designed to combine the ability to transform in the short term with long-term sustainable performance in an increasingly unpredictable world.
